The place was super clean and well kept, and believe it or not, nothing was broken. Always a nice surprise when things are exactly how they should be

The accessibility was good overall, though I’m not sure if I just expected things to be a bit smoother. The wheelchair assistance was helpful when it arrived, but it was slow at times, and there were some longer walks than I probably realized going in.

The pool was really loud and packed when I went, which made it hard to relax. Maybe I caught it at a busy time, but it gave me the impression the pools here probably get overcrowded often.

The airport shuttle was kind of a mess. The parking buses were running late, and trying to figure out where to get picked up at the airport was confusing. It also had that "no real person there" feeling, like there wasn’t anyone around to help or explain what was going on

The bar was good overall, even if I wasn’t totally blown away. Most of the bartenders were friendly enough and the drinks were solid, especially the margaritas and mojitos. When it got busy, it could take a bit to get someone’s attention, which was a little annoying, but not a dealbreaker. For a big resort, I actually expected the drinks to be more watered down, so I was pleasantly surprised. I’d give it 4 stars.

I booked the spa hoping for a relaxing treat, but it just felt rushed and kind of messy. The staff seemed annoyed from the start. Not exactly welcoming. My massage began late but still ended at the original time, which was frustrating. The wellness area was also crowded and didn’t feel very clean. For what they charge, I expected a lot more. Really disappointing.

The hotel itself looked nice when we got there, but the room just didn’t feel as comfortable or as clean as I was expecting, the bed was really hard, the pillows were kind of lumpy, there was dust sitting in the corners, and the bathroom didn’t seem fully cleaned either, especially around the shower, so for the price we paid I was hoping for a lot better, and while the staff was fine enough, the room was definitely a let down for us...

The kids club was actually fun and the pools were nice, so I can’t really complain too much. That said, the waits for some of the family activities got old fast, and the room felt like it could’ve used a bit more space for kids to spread out. Overall, it worked for a family trip, but I’m not sure I’d call it perfect

The staff just didn’t seem interested at all. They weren’t very friendly, and it took forever to get any help. I felt like I was being ignored most of the time, which was frustrating. Not really worth it in my opinion??

The whole All-Fun Inclusive idea sounded amazing when we booked, and to be fair, some parks and transportation were included. It’s just that actually figuring out booking times, schedules, and where to be felt way more complicated than it probably needed to be. The buses were packed, and we ended up spending a lot of our vacation doing everyone’s favorite activity: waiting around.
For what we paid, I guess I was silly to expect things to feel a little more seamless. The food was decent and the hotel was pretty, so it wasn’t a total loss. But the “included” fun felt like another chore on the itinerary. Not terrible, just definitely not something we’d rush to do again.

We went expecting a relaxing beach and river day, but it just didn’t really work out that way. The beach looked nice from a distance, but once we got there it was rocky and there was seaweed everywhere, so it wasn’t very comfortable to hang out. The river was a little better visually, but it felt crowded, and some areas seemed kind of dirty. For the price, I expected a much nicer experience.

I booked our stay through Hotel Xcaret, it was smoother than I expected. Usually when I see a hotel site with a lot of options, I assume I’m going to end up clicking around forever, but the dates and room choices were easy to sort through.
The pricing and extras were laid out clearly enough before checkout, which I appreciated. I tend to assume there will be some surprise fee hiding at the end, but everything seemed upfront, even though a few sections had a lot of info.
Checkout was quick, the confirmation showed up right away, and I didn’t have to call or double-check with anyone. Based on how booking sites usually go, I was expecting at least one annoying step, but this one was actually nice to use...

We were feeling mentally drained by the time we arrived, so the wait at check-in felt a bit longer than we would’ve liked. But guest support was quick to respond, and the concierge was genuinely helpful. They fixed our dinner booking without making it a big hassle, which was such a relief. Overall, they made a stressful moment a lot easier.

From my experience, once you’re paying this much, you kind of expect to be able to enjoy the dining options without a ton of stress. Most of the restaurants showed fully booked for the entire week, so it felt like we had to plan around what we couldn’t get rather than what we wanted to do. Overall, I liked the stay, but booking meals was way harder than it should’ve been.

I get that mistakes can happen, but when people are already paying a lot, it’s only fair to be upfront and clear about what they’re being charged for. I felt like I had to go over every little detail myself, which was frustrating...

I thought there would be a lot more going on, especially for what we paid. A few of the shows were enjoyable, but after a while a lot of the entertainment started to feel repetitive. Booking activities was also kind of frustrating because things filled up quickly, and it wasn’t always easy to figure out what was happening or where to go. Staff didn’t always explain things clearly either, which felt avoidable. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but I definitely found myself bored more often than I expected, especially at night

I saw “adults-only” and my brain immediately translated that to “peaceful and quiet,” but it wasn’t quite that. The area was nice and definitely more relaxed than other spots, but there was still enough noise around that I couldn’t fully switch off at times. Still enjoyable, just not the calm little escape I had pictured

I had to cancel our booking last minute, so I was already assuming from their tone that it might turn into one of those frustrating back-and-forth situations. But hotel Xcaret support got back to me quickly and explained everything in a calm, straightforward way. The refund took a few days to actually show up, but it arrived when they said it would. I really appreciated that I didn’t have to keep chasing anyone down...

The food just didn’t really do it for me. It tasted bland, and something about it felt repetitive day after day, like the options were basically the same every time.
